| Adam von Buhler | Feb 1, 2010: news In addition to working on new Anarchy Club material (the album may only be 2 months old, but you know this is a compulsion, right?), I've got a spanking new project in the works. Halfway through recording the debut album for my new band: Map & Key. It's a duo; myself and singer Alice Ishbel Watson over in bonny Scotland. Except for a few songs, I am writing and playing all the music, and she's writing and singing all the vocals. Some of the material is stuff I've had kicking around since the Splashdown days, which was just waiting for an appropriate setting. The recording has been going on for about a year and a half so far. Planning for a late 2010 release.
Earlier News I am quite surreally pleased to announce that Anarchy Club's latest, a spiffy little ditty called "Get Clean", is featured in the MTV/Harmonix game Rock Band 2. The thing that tickles me most: it's in the "Impossible" section. It must have been the solo that took four days of isolated confinement to get right. Silly Halloween '07 pic -- me as one of my childhood heroes, Ace Frehley. Just finished a playful song for the new book, "The Cat Who Wouldn't Come Inside ". There's a video for it too. The Anarchy Club song "Behind the Mask" is in the game Guitar Hero. The Anarchy Club song "Blood Doll" is in the game Rock Band. The Anarchy Club song "Get Clean" is in the game Rock Band 2.
p.s. if you googled my name and saw a ton of links for some Internet marketing nonsense, that is not me, just somebody I share a name with, unfortunately. |
